Brittany, and in particular Finistère, has long ceased to be an insider tip for holidays in all seasons. More and more visitors come here, looking for relaxation and tranquility, and are always overwhelmed by the spectacular landscape, the grandiose ocean, the unique culture, the nice people here and not least because of its very special relaxation factor - the tranquility. Of course, the holiday season - especially in July and August - is a bit more turbulent, but overall "our corner" has been spared from mass tourism.

But every season has its charms: In Bigouden country - as the area around our holiday home is actually called - it can be endured all year round: the summers are not too hot, the winters are pleasantly mild, the autumn is usually sensationally sunny and the Spring often enchants with early summer temperatures. For “storm fans” we recommend the early seasons of February or March, for example, our bay offers spectacular impressions like this one at the beginning of the year

The light here on the Atlantic is unique, and it doesn't even need sunshine. The wonderfully long evenings (in Brittany it is 1 hour longer light in the evening than in Germany) always leave you speechless. Even when the sky is overcast - possibly even in fog - you can enjoy unforgettable hours with long walks, for example at low tide on the flat beach. And once you've experienced that, you can rarely get enough of it.

Surfing, sailing, flying, canoeing, hiking…

Beach fans as well as water sports enthusiasts get their money's worth here - from small, quiet beach bays to long sandy beaches, hidden fishing ports, changing scenes between ebb and flow - there are plenty of impressive possibilities around the Bay of Audierne. Do you fancy a sailing tour, a boat trip, a kayak tour in the emerald green sea or in turquoise bays? Kite surfing, sand sailing, the surfer's paradise of La Torche, diving, bike tours and much more - here too the Finistère offers its visitors a wide range of leisure activities. Or take a look at our region from the air – with an ULM (Ultralight aircraft)

Discover countless possibilities for activities and sights in the immediate vicinity: The sandy beach „Le Gored“ is reachable on foot in approx. 800 m, as is the small port of Pors Poulhan with bar / café, restaurant and lighthouse. Or there, directly behind the harbor, the entrance to the restored old water mill „Moulin de Tréouzien“.Explore the direct, closer environment or follow the beautiful coastal path on foot or by jogging to our favorite beaches „Gwendrez“ approx. 2 km away or „Mezperleuc“ approx. 3 km away.

In the wider area there are plenty of attractive excursion destinations, such as the legendary headland at the "end of the world": Pointe du Raz with breathtaking views and rock formations, Cap-Sizun with its coastal hiking trail, the original Pont-Croix, the port of Audierne with its market on Saturday, the lighthouse Phare d’Eckmühl or the archipelago of Glenan small islands in the middle of an inland sea with the clearest water and white sandy beaches and, and, and much more.
