Brittany and in particular the Finistère is already no longer a secret. More and more visitors come here and are overwhelmed by the spectacular scenery, the magnificent ocean, the unique culture, the nice people here and not least because of its very specific recovery factor – the rest. Of course during the holiday season – especially in July and August – it is somewhat turbulent, but overall, “our corner” is still rather spared from mass tourism.
Each season here has its charms: In Bigouden land – as the area around our house is actually called – one could really get to like this place throughout the whole year. The summers are not too hot, winters are pleasantly mild, autumn is mostly sensationally sunny and spring often charms with early summer temperatures.
The light here on the Atlantic Ocean is unique, and for that it does not even need sunshine. The gorgeous long evenings (in Brittany, the evening is one hour longer than in Germany) are breathtaking. Even with an overcast sky – possibly even in the fog – you can spend unforgettable hours with long walks at low tide on the flat beach. And who experienced this once, can rarely get enough of it.
Enjoy and listen to nature, the birds, the ocean, the wind or just the silence around Kerhat.
